For Nonprofits

United is the Way

to Greater Impact

At United Way, we stand alongside nonprofits to strengthen our community. By expanding resources, increasing impact, and driving systemic change, we help those who serve do even more for those in need. If you’re a nonprofit looking to collaborate and amplify your work, connect with us to explore partnership opportunities.

We are incredibly proud to support these vital programs and the organizations behind them. This grant cycle is a powerful reminder of both the great need and the even greater opportunity we have to come together and build a stronger McLennan County.

Community Investment Grant Process

United Way of Waco-McLennan County operates a two-year Community Investment Grant cycle to provide critical funding to local nonprofit organizations advancing work in healthy community, youth opportunities, financial security, and community resiliency. Through a competitive application and review process, community volunteers—bringing both professional and lived experience—evaluate each proposal and make funding recommendations to United Way’s Board of Directors.

In June 2025, United Way awarded $1 million in grants to 27 nonprofit organizations supporting 31 programs across McLennan County for the 2025–2027 grant cycle. These grants reflect both the generosity of local donors and the high level of need in our community, as United Way received nearly $4.4 million in funding requests from 37 organizations.

The next grant eligibility application window will open up in the Fall of 2026. Check back again later this year for updates about our next funding cycle, or, reach out to us at grants@unitedwaywaco.org to be notified when the process opens up. In the meantime, we encourage you to review our current grant eligibility criteria and impact framework.
