At United Way of Waco-McLennan County, we invest in high-impact nonprofit programs that are carefully vetted by our Community Investment Councils to ensure resources are used effectively. As a funder, we set a standard for data-driven results and provide training to help our Funded Partners strengthen their programs and expand their reach.

Each grant cycle, approximately 15,000 neighbors are helped through programs supported by United Way funding.

children, youth & their caregivers participated in enriching, free educational opportunities

Financial Security

individuals gained new job skills, earned their GED, secured stable housing and improved their financial literacy

individuals experiencing family crisis, and domestic violence had access to shelter, counseling, legal advice and basic needs

We are both responsive and forward-thinking.

While we help meet immediate needs such as food, housing and access to care, we also invest in long-term, solution-driven strategies that address root causes and strengthen systems.

We fund grants to local nonprofit programs, we convene local social service agencies to collaborate around finding solutions to challenges facing families in McLennan County, and we connect people to resources in times of need.
